1962 was a very fine year for @fender guitars

These beautiful guitars both share same chunky “big C” neck profiles with beautiful maple and contrasting grained dark Brazilian rosewood fingerboard.
By mid 1962 Fender went from the “slab” (flat glued board on flat maple base) construction to the newer “veneer/curved” technique, a choice that solved several technical difficulties they encountered with the previous technique.
These mid to late 1962, up to early/ mid 1963 Fender guitars are some of the finest ever produced by the Fullerton Factory.
