This chord progression gives you a wealth of soloing options, you can startin A Aeolian or Dorian, but once the D chord (IV) comes around you are compelled to play A Dorian, then the F (bVI) immediately thereafter makes you play A Aeolian. The D and E chords at the end are a classic Melodic Minor cadence, so that scale works. Or you can try Harmonic Minor on the E!
