WROC is my first vocal album since 2016. The lyrics were inspired by the etiquette book, “George Washington’s Rules of Civility and Decent Behavior.” I truly enjoyed turning Washington’s Rules of Civility (WROC) into ROCK songs! I hope my vocal and guitar melodies will stir your heart and improve your table manners. Spit Not in the Fire!

This was the last song that I wrote for the WROC album. The chords turned out to be sometimes strange and dissonant. I think this works for the song, but I could also tell that I was searching for unusual sounds in order not to repeat myself. After finishing the song, I felt like “I have used every spice on the shelf.” And that was a good time to put the guitar down, and start shopping for waistcoats and breeches. For you guitar players out there, note that Doug and I have capos on the 3rd fret. Many thanks to everyone who listened to all these songs! WROC!
