Music Therapy Laz here NAMM 2026 and we get lucky running into Lari Basilio at the Seymour Duncan Booth… some of the best pickups made in the business! I had a set of his Custom ’59 humbuckers in my D’Angelico Semi Hollow DC Deluxe and they sounded amazing! I still recall the rich harmonic overtones I could get out of that guitar through various pedals and amps! My daughter Hannah now has that guitar, lucky girl! I know she’s enjoying playing it as much as I did!
I also got a glimpse of Seymour, and though he wasn’t doing a signing like I’d seen him do in the past, it would have been nice to have a chat with him. It didn’t seem an opportunity was going to arise so I moved on to other booths since time was running short on that last day at NAMM. Seymour is a Legend and the quality of his pickups and other products, like his line of Power Stage preamp pedals, are industry standards for a reason!
