WROC is my first vocal album since 2016. The lyrics were inspired by the etiquette book, “George Washington’s Rules of Civility and Decent Behavior.” I truly enjoyed turning Washington’s Rules of Civility (WROC) into ROCK songs! I hope my vocal and guitar melodies will stir your heart and improve your table manners. Spit Not in the Fire!

Lyrics inspired by Washington Rules: 35, 80, 69, 73, 99, and 4
Six different Washington rules went into this one! My favorite is “Be not tedious, unless you find the company pleased therewith.” Does this mean that if there is a supportive audience, it’s all right for me to play guitar solos that are way too long? Rule #80 says “Yes! Play those long solos!” Speaking of solos, the one in this song is of average length. But just to make sure it didn’t become “tedious,” I overdubbed a cowbell. This raises the question of “how much” cowbell should be in the mix. We all know there is only one answer to that.
