The Holy Grail guitars you can see up close and in action in London this month

It’s being billed as the only chance you’ll get to hear such a variety of historic electric guitars played live and loud by some of the best guitar players in the country and, fittingly, it’s being held at the epicentre of guitar music in London – Denmark Street, on the edge of Soho, at The Lower Third music venue.

From 1959 Les Paul Standards played by the likes of Mick Taylor of the Stones to Golden Era Fenders in ultra-rare Custom Colours, the Legendary Guitars event, which takes place on the evening of Wednesday, September 16, offers a one-off opportunity to hear the guitars by which all others are measured by played by some of the best guitarists in Britain, accompanied by expert commentary on the guitars’ history and heritage from leading guitar authors and historians.
