Fender’s Squier Debut Strat has been reduced to $99: It’s the ideal first guitar and at a price I didn’t think would go so low – but it won’t hang around!

When it comes to buying a beginner electric guitar for yourself or a loved one, neck comfort is incredibly important – it’s where you bond with the instrument, and in my opinion, nobody does it better than Fender in the entry-level end of the market with its Squier guitars. So when I see the Amazon-exclusive Debut Stratocaster is down to $99 for its Cyber Monday music dealsI come running to share the news.

It’s never been discounted before, because for $120 it was still a very good deal on a guitar that I’d have been proud to start playing on. For starters, the choice of 2-Colour Sunburst and Black both have sleek matte finishes that I’d love to see on the more expensive Fender Strat models. But the other details here prove the company is making all the right moves.
