Martin Guitar celebrates two decades of the Clapton's Choice Signature Strings strings, used by Eric Clapton in studio and live, including his iconic presentation at MTV Unplugged. To mark Marco, the company launched a 20 -year commemorative packaging, available until March 2026.
Each package of the limited edition offers buyers the chance to win a Martin 000-EC 30th Anniversary guitar, valued at $ 4,999. The instrument is inspired by the models Clapton used during its performance on MTV Unplugged. In addition, there is an online draw with awards such as Martin belts, posters, collectible cords with custom patches and up to one year of rope supply.
Coinciding with the celebration, will be released on May 9 the album “Unplugged: Enhanced Edition” in vinyl and CD. This remastered version includes unpublished comments of Clapton and tracks not presented in the original broadcast.
Clapton's Choice strings are made of 92/8 phosphate bronze, recognized for their hot tone and durability. Clapton describes them as “the sound I demand.”
