[Music] Guys, great to see you. Great to be back here and thank you for joining me. It seems like I’ve actually got over all my gremlins as well here, which is always a great thing because very often I have these issues with YouTube, as you’ll probably know, but tonight it’s actually working. Hooray. I don’t know exactly what’s going down here, but anyways, I’m not complaining. So, hello Julie Paul. Great to see you. Great to see you posting over on the group. Paul Smith, great to see you. Pete Dixon, good to see you tonight, Mom. It is tonight. Mom got it wrong. Hey Melanie, great to see you, too. And Mike Thompson. Mike, a fellow Scouser from Liverpool. Great to see you. I think you’re out in Canada, Mike, if I’m not mistaken. Wes, fantastic to see you. Super ring of fire. Chris Neielsen, first time from New Hampshire. Chris, welcome on board. Wonderful to have your company. We’ve got a lot of stuff to get through tonight, guys. all the usual kind of things. We’re going to be playing some content together, doing all the usual kind of stuff. I’m going to get started and play you a song whilst you’re all settling down. Um, and let me see if I can find out what it was I was going to play you for a moment if I’ve still got it here. Um, I I’ll get to it in a moment, I’m sure. Uh, where are we? Uh, so I’ve got quite a lot of content I would like to play for you. Hello, Amanda. Great to have you here as well. So, we’ve got everybody kind of here with us tonight, which is fantastic. Great to have all your company. And I just want to check a couple of things here before I get started. Okay. So, we can make sure we get all this kind of stuff out the way. See if I got this right here and then I’m going to be with you. Um, yeah. Let me just try one more thing here, guys. Uh, I don’t know where I saw this now. Crazy, crazy, crazy. Um, let me see. I want to get this. Aha, that’s where it is. Okay. Right. Buckle yourselves in. Let’s make a start. Let me play you something. This is a song by the Kinks. Hey, Rud 259. Hank, great to have you with us, Hank. It’s been a little while since we last caught up. And, um, thanks for joining us as well. We’ve got a great full house tonight. Here goes. This one starts like this. Dy river, must you keep rolling, rolling into the night. People so busy make me feel dizzy. Taxi light shines so bright. But I don’t feel [Music] afraid. As long as I gaze on water sunset, I am in paradise. Every day I look at the world from my window. Chilly chilly is the evening time. Waterloo sunsets fine. Taxi meets Julie. Blime Street station every Friday night. But I am so lazy. Don’t like to wonder. I stay at home at night. But I don’t make no friends. As long as I gaze on water sunset, I am in paradise. Every day I look at the world from my window. Cherry cherry is the evening time. Water sun sets fire. Millions of people swarming like flies round wateroo underground. And Dexi and Julie cross over the river where they feel safe and sound. And they t need no friends. As long as they gaze on water to sunset, they are in [Music] paradise. Water sunsets. What a new sun set. All of these songs fine. Great little song that one. Kent, great to have you with us tonight. Kent, I believe, is out in California. Wonderful to have your company. I know you can’t always make it. Kent, thanks for your recent messages. Wonderful to have you here tonight. And Dmit, like I say, great to see you, too. And Jean Jacqu Sevest, welcome back. Wonderful to have you and your company as well. Okay, so that was a song by the Kinks and it was called Waterlue Sunset. Apparently Ray Davis, the lead singer and writer of the Kinks, actually wrote that song about Liverpool, would you believe? But because he was a Londoner, he changed the words so they reflected Waterloo and London. My little twist on it there saying Julie and Derek. Of course, it should be Julie and uh Terry and Julie, but I always say Julie and DS because that’s my sister and my brother-in-law. So, it’s my own little bit of poetic license there. Where’s Glad you enjoy that one as a starter. It’s a nice little song. Now, we’ve got a lot of content to get through tonight, guys. So, I won’t be hanging about. I hope that you’re tuned up and ready to go. Um because we’re going to be having quite a lot of songs on the play along as well tonight. So, I’m hoping you’re going to be able to join me for some of the playalong songs. We’ve got quite a lot of kind of uh songs both in the playalongs section of the show and also on on the section whereby I play you some content. So, make sure you’re all tuned up cuz the after I played you this next song, we’re going to go with um a play along so you can all join in. And that song that we’re going to play in the play along is Blackbird. Now, this is going to be a first. It’s not a song that we’ve done as a playalong. So, um, you know, definitely worth a go if you haven’t done that before. So, let me have a little look at another song I’m going to play for you. This is a song here that I haven’t actually played in quite some time. Uh, and I think it’s a beautiful song. It was originally written by a blues artist called uh, Big Bill Brunie and covered by many, many people over the years. And it’s a really, really nice blues song. And it goes like this. When did you leave heaven? How could they let you go? How’s everything up in heaven? I would love to know. Why did you trade heaven for all these earthly things? Where did you leave your little halo? Where did you hide your wings? Why did you leave heaven? How could they let you go? How’s everything up in heaven? I would like to know. Why did you trade heaven for all these earthly things? Where did you lose your little halo? Where did you hide your wings? Now, did they miss you or can you get back in? And if I kissed you, would it be a sin? I am only human, but you are so divine. When did you leave heaven? I would like to know. Where did you leave heaven? How could they let you go? How’s everything up in heaven? I would love to know. I am only [Music] human but you are so divine. When did you leave heaven? Oh little angel of mine. Little angel of mine. Little angel of mine. [Music] Hey, that’s a nice little song called When Did You Leave Heaven? I think that’s got real potential. And I’ve done a lesson on all of the songs that you’re going to hear tonight, guys. So, if you would like to learn any of them, you can head over to my YouTube page or my Patreon page, and you can learn any of the songs that I’m going to play for you tonight. So, I’m hoping that you’re all tuned up and ready to go because it’s time for a play along. And the song for the play along is Blackbird. So, just give it a go. If it’s something that you’ve had a go at, then, you know, I think it’s going to be a great one for you to try. So, yes. Okay. Yeah, it seems like everybody’s looking forward to next weekend. I’m not sure what’s going down there, folks. Only joking. Of course, I know what’s going on and I’m looking forward to it, too. Going back home to see the folks back home. See everybody down there. It’s my mom’s birthday. Like to wish you a an early birthday wishes, Mom. I’m going to be there with you and share your birthday with you, which is a real joy to be doing these days. Coming up with Amanda, going to see the whole family. Going to have a great time. We’re so looking forward to it. Right now, like I say, next song is Blackbird. So, let’s have a go at this one. And let’s see if you can at least try and keep up. Right? I won’t go too quick, but it goes like this. 2 3 [Music] 4. Black bird singing in the dead of night. Take these broken wings and learn to fly all your life. [Music] You were only waiting for this moment to arise. Black birds singing in the dead of night. Take these sunken eyes and learn to see all your life. You only waiting for this moment to arise. Black bird flies. Black bird butterflies in the light of a dark black [Music] night. Black bird flies. Black bird flies into the light of a dark black [Music] night. Black bird singing in the dead of night. Take these broken wings and learn to fly all your life. You were only waiting for this moment to arise. You were only waiting for this moment to arise. You were only waiting for this moment to [Music] arise. Yeah. Well done, guys. Anybody who had a go at that, fantastic. Big round of applause for you. Yeah, great one for you to have a go at. Don’t know what the crackling’s about, I’m afraid. J shouldn’t be anything. I haven’t changed anything. I haven’t done anything. Keep me posted on it. Hopefully, it’s just a little oneoff. Okay. Hey, Rob. We’ve got Robert with us tonight and he’s commenting, "Hey Rob, great to see you and great to have you on board. Hope those songs are coming along nicely for you." So, nice little song that one called Blackbird and certainly worth having a little bit of a look at if you haven’t tried that one already. Okay. Now, I think it’s a good You nearly got it all right there. Wes, did you? That’s good going. Okay. Now, I’m I’d like to also share a little bit of news with you and um keep you updated. Just remember that it’s a good good opportunity for you to ask me any questions that you might have which are guitar related or music related. If I can possibly answer any of your questions or help you in any way, then obviously that’s something I’d like to be able to do for you. Welcome on board, David. Wonderful to have your company. Thank you. And it’s always best late than never. So, yeah, if you have any questions, don’t, you know, hesitate to kind of share those as we go through the show and I’ll do my best to answer any of those. So, yeah, the bit of news that I’d like to share with you is that um I I wondered where you’d gone, Mom. We were all talking about coming up to see you and uh you disappeared. So, it was the iPad freezing on you. Okay, gotcha. Okay, so the news that I’m going to share with you is that I’ve recently been approved by Gibson Guitars to go and shoot some content in their flagship store, the Gibson Garage in London. And this is their biggest flagship store in Europe to my knowledge. A wonderful place. If you haven’t checked it out, uh do so. It’s well worth having a look online. They have a great website. They’ve got an Instagram page. So, there’s lots of things that you can check there. Have a wonderful selection of guitars, both electric and acoustic. I’ll be pretty much concentrating on the acoustic stuff because, you know, that’s what I do. And I’m just so excited about going there and being able to film some content of all these wonderful guitars that Gibson have been producing for many, many years. So yeah, very very exciting times. I’m going to be doing that next a week Tuesday and I’m going to try and get as much content shot as I possibly can. I’d like to shoot some of the really iconic guitars that Gibson have made over the years. They also have a new model which has just been released which is very under under wraps and that’s something that they want me to play and demo for them. So, I’m you’re very flattered that they would, you know, ask me to do that. Obviously, that’s that’s really nice. Um, so looking forward to doing that. If you have any questions or there are any guitars that you’d like me to try and demo whilst I’m there, then please, you know, how to contact me. Best way is always on Patreon. There’s a link down below this video where you can go and check that out. So, that’s a good opportunity for you to do that. I’ll come back throughout the show and maybe touch upon that again, right? So, we can just keep the flow going. But essentially, if there are particular guitars you’d like me to try, post them down below or let me know. Um, so there’s a lot of kind of content out there. I’m looking to play their early blues guitars like the LO’s and all this type of stuff. So, yeah, it’s going to be good. Okay, Chris, very interesting to hear your kind of news there about the ES339, awesome guitars, ES170 acoustic. Yeah, you know, I’m a kind of Martin guy, but you know, I’ve played Gibson’s in the past and I they really do appeal to me and they kind of uh float my boat. Pete Dixon, a Joe Murphy signature would be good. I’m not sure that they’re going to do that anytime soon. And Mike, thanks for the thumbs up there. Okay, so it’s time now for another little song I’m going to play for you. And this one is an old song that my dad used to play when I was a kind of young lad and uh used to kind of listen. In fact, you know, many of my favorite songs were songs which were just played around the house by my mom and dad when I was growing up. I think music is is one of these things that uh really resonates with us in terms of what things were happening in our lives at particular times. You know, I’m sure we’ve all been to that place where we listen to a song and it takes us right back to a particular place, a particular person. Uh, all kinds of things. Music’s very, very special in that regard. And, uh, I always find that it kind of teleports me to a different place and stuff. And, um, when I play these old songs, it reminds me of, uh, my dad and like I say, my mom playing songs around the house. Okay, this one goes like this. Anyway, [Music] guys, sweet, sweet. The memories you gave me. You can’t beat the memories you gave me. Take one fresh and tender kiss. had one stolen title [Music] blaze. One girl, one boy, some grief, some joy. Meories are in this. Hey Dylan, great to have you on board. Don’t forget us smallly folding lightly with a dream. Your lips and mine. Two sips of wine meories all men. Then at the wedding vows, one house where lovers dwell, three little kids for the flavor. Tech with through the days. See how the flavor stays. These are the truths he will savor with his blessings from above. Serve it generously with love. One man, one wife, one love through life. Meories are in this. Meories are made of this. Memories are made of this. I always have to do a little something for dad. I hope there hope you heard that one pops. That’s for you. All right. So, were you singing along with me there, Mom? Always good to hear, Derma. Well worth having a look at that one. You’ll find it on my Patreon now that you’re a patron over on my site there. Okay, let’s move on cuz it’s time. It’s that kind of time. We’re trying to squeeze as much as we possibly we can in tonight. I’m glad that you enjoyed that one. It’s gone down as well. Now, one thing I would like to be able to do as a play along is very, very simple song that everybody can take part in and it’s a kind of great party song as well in a sense. Hey, Bluegrass Brian, great to have you on board. I think that might be your first time here. So, welcome on board. And so, what we’re going to take a look at is a song from the film Pulp Fiction. And I’m sure that many of you will be familiar with that film. I don’t know many people who haven’t seen it. I’m sure there’ll be a few out there. I’m sure. But, um, the one of the most iconic songs probably from the film is Sailor Ve or You Never Can Tell. Uh, hello there ladislav uh from the Czech Republic. Welcome on board. So, this song is a great song. It’s a simple song. We’re just looking at the chords of A and E. So, not too difficult. No excuses not to join in with this one. Right, guys? Uh, I would suggest that you give it a go. I’m going to um talk you through it. Essentially, all you’re going to be looking to do here is uh Hey, Clive. Great to see you. Thanks for joining us. All right. So, now we have the A and the E. That’s all we’re looking to do in this song. So, if you’re new to playing guitar and it’s not something that you’ve done before, pick up your guitar, have a go, right? And all you’re going to need to do for your A is just, okay, you can just keep it real simple for your E chord. and we’ll do the rest. All right? So, just see if you can hear those changes. Um, and then you know, you’ll be good to go. All right. So, we go like this. 2 3 [Music] 4. It was a teenage wedding and the old folks wish them well. You can see that truly love and now the young woman say old folks go to show never. They had a high five porno boy if they let it blast. There’s 700 little records all rocking with the jazz. When the sun went down the rap at rap the tempo of the music fell say old folks go to show you never can tell they finished up in a pop with a tune rub s the radio was crown with TV rail and now I went down the rabbit temple The music fell say love city old folks go you show you never can tell by trying a solo guys [Music] [Music] They had a [Music] pupp and as a young he bell [Music] See in the old show you [Music] never Hey Tom. Good to see you. [Music] Well done, guys. Anybody who had a go at that one, well done. All right. Absolutely great, great effort. So, yeah, we got all kinds of people turning up here tonight. We’ve now got Amanda, some Tom. We’ve got notes from the path who wants a little bit of JJ Kale. I’m going to be paying a little bit of JJ Kale for you a little bit later on. Uh, we’ve got a lot of people asking if Amanda’s still here. Yes, she’s still she is here somewhere. She’s probably busy, but I know she’s tuned in and she’s having a listen as well. Okay, so we’re doing well here, guys. You’ve already played along with a few songs already. So, that’s the name of the game, right? That’s what we’re looking to do on the show whenever we can. I mean, join me in the songs that I play as well. I’ll tell you what they are so you have an opportunity to do that. Yeah. Um, so what I’d like to try and have a little bit of a go at now, right, is a song that’s going to be probably my one of my newest lessons, right? Um, which is a song by Marvin Gay. Now, I know that my mom will like this cuz she’s a huge fan of Marvin Gay and I I grew up with Marvin Gay playing around the house quite a lot of the time. And this is a really really um kind of iconic song, right? So, you know, this is one of those ones definitely worth learning. It seems like we’ve got quite a lot of JJ Kale fans in tonight. So, don’t worry, guys. I’ll play you some JJ Kale later. We won’t worry about that. Okay. Uh and we’ll definitely get a little bit of that done. So, don’t forget to hit the like button, guys, and all that kind of stuff. All all your comments are really appreciated as well. Paul Taylor, good to have you with us, Paul. And so, let’s see if we can’t have a go at this. Uh head it through the grapevine. Right. I’m going to see if I can pull up my words here right now. So, let’s see if we if we’ve got this one down right. See if you can anybody wants to join me for this one. This is going to be your next lesson over on Patreon. I’ve been working on this and many of you who are signed up to my Patreon will already know that I’ve done a little bit of a behind the scenes video on this song, right, to show you, you know, the beginnings and what’s involved in learning it. [Music] So that’s the kind of intro we’re looking to do. [Music] Oh, I bet you’re wondering how I knew about your plans to make me blue with some other guy you knew before. Between the two of us, guys, you know I love you more. It took me by surprise, I must say, when I found out yesterday. Don’t you know? I heard it through the grape vine. Not much longer would you be mine. Ooh, I heard it through the grape vine. And I’m just about to lose my mind. Honey, honey. [Music] Yeah. I know a man ain’t supposed to cry, but these tears I can’t hold inside. losing you in my life, you see. Cuz you mean that much to me. You could have told me yourself that you love someone else. Instead, I heard it through the grape vine. Not much longer would you be mine. Ooh, I heard it through the grape vine. And I’m just about to lose my mind. Honey. Honey. [Music] [Laughter] [Music] Well, people say believe half of what you see, son. And I don’t know what you hear. But I can’t help but be confused if it’s true. Please tell me, dear. Do you plan? Let me go for the other guy you love before. Don’t you know I heard it through the grape vine? Not much longer would you be mine. Baby, I heard it through the grape vine. And I’m just about to lose my mind. Honey, honey. [Laughter] [Music] Yeah. Honey, don’t you know that I love you [Music] so? Yeah. I heard it through the grape vine. [Music] Just a little bit of a rendition on the old um kind of headed through the grape vine. I really like that song and I think there’s lots of little elements that you can take away from that. Okay. Very very interesting song to play and you’ve got that to look forward to. It should keep you busy for a while. It certainly kept me busy for a little while. I can tell you just trying to get that exactly right. Yeah. So where’s definitely check that one out. It’s coming at you next week. I think I’ve got that schedule for. Okay, Patreon stuff is fantastic stuff. I’m jumping from one to the next. I know loads of half songs. Well, you know, you got to avoid that, right? Pete Dixon, what’s my favorite preferred acoustic body shape size? Is it the Treble 28 or do you have a mix of different styles? I do have a mix of different styles. I like the Treble 28. It’s something I always pick up, Pete. It’s It’s the first really proper guitar I ever owned. It’s very very special to me. in many, many ways. If there was a fire in the house, I’ve got a house full of guitars and I could only grab one, I’d be grabbing this and running out the house. I’m pretty sure that’s what I’d be going for. Having said that, there are lots of other body shapes I like. I have a D35 from my good friend Ernie out in Tennessee, which is a fantastic guitar. Uh, and that again is something I’d be wanting to try and grab as well. And I also have a double O, which is like a CEO7. Okay, so a shout out to Jill. Okay, Jill is Julie’s friend and Andrew was watching the football. Sad for Andy. Okay, well Tom, he doesn’t I don’t think I think you asked him if he was playing in guitar or interested in guitar. Tom will have an option to learn guitar if he wants to before too long. Uh and then who else we got? What’s the last song in a um pentatonic scales along with you? I’m not entirely sure, Chris. I’m sorry. I’m I’m I’m flying through them all a little bit too quickly. We’ve got uh Mark Noter or Jeff Beck. Alex, I would have to say Mark Not was hugely influential to to my own style of playing. I’m glad that you’re enjoying uh Richard the Great Vine. There are some elements I’m going to move on because I haven’t got too much time and because that lesson is going to be coming at you before too long, I won’t spend too much time. But the intro is great. Um uh when I can remember what it is. Where are we? But you got [Music] this. So you got that little element. Um, and lots [Music] of lots of different elements in that which is really, really good to learn. Hey, Andrew, great to have your company. Brian Daniels. Yeah, I’m glad everybody’s looking forward to this lesson because I wasn’t really sure how it was going to go down with everybody. So, that’s really reassuring to know that you’re all going to enjoy that one. Really, really good. Let’s see what else we’ve got coming up here now. Okay, so let’s have a I tell you what, let’s have a JJ Kale song, right? Because there’s a lot of people out there who want to um a little bit of JJ Kale. So, let’s let’s do that. Why why why not? Um, let me just bring up my kind of little bits and pieces here. And what we’re going to do is we’re going to play uh the sensitive kind. All right. Now, I’m hoping that you’re going to join join me for this one. Uh, it’s a very straightforward one for you to have a go at. It’s not too difficult. It’s just, you know, G, D minor, A, and that’s essentially it. You know, there’s not a lot more to it, guys. Okay. Hey, Will. Great to have you. It’s been a little while since we last seen you, Will. So, great to have your company. Okay. Right. There we [Music] go. So, I hope you’re going to join me for this one, guys. [Music] Don’t take her for granted. She have a hard time. Don’t misunderstand her or play with a mind so [Music] gently. will pay you in time. You’ve got to [Music] know she’s a sensitive kind. Tell her you’ll love her. each and every night. Soon you will discover she will treat you [Music] right. If you [Music] believe, I know you won’t find. There ain’t nothing like a sensitive kind. Have a go at solo, [Music] guys. Great stuff. [Music] She gets so lonely waiting for you. You are the only sing to help her through. Don’t take her for granted. She have a hard time. You’ve got to know. She’s a sensitive guy. Another solo, guys. Have a go for it. Right. [Music] [Music] Well done, guys. Anybody who joined in there, great effort because it’s a great opportunity for you to do that without any real pressure. You know, you can pick up your guitar and you can have a go. Sometimes if you’re in front of people and stuff that can be like a pressure and it’s quite difficult to do. So these type of situations are really informal and just you know much more relaxed. So hopefully you’ll take that opportunity to try and have a go at playing you know and just joining in with something because the more that you do that the better obviously you’ll become at it and everything. So, that was a little bit of JJ Kale for the folks who were uh keen to hear some of that. And that’s a great song. And of course, I’ve done a lesson on that one as well. So, you can always check that if that’s something that you would like to um you know, have a go at. Now, I’m going to play you another song now once I can see it. Um going to have to bring some light into the equation soon, I think. Okay. All the chat has gone quiet, which is unusual. That means maybe that means everybody’s listening. Right. Okay. It’s not a bad sign. Right. Let me just bring some light in here. That might help me a little bit. I’m sorry if it gets a little bit too glary in here, but I just do need to see a little bit of something. And everybody, I hope you’re all having a good time. Okay, just having a little uh kind of drink there to wet my whistle. And now it’s time for a little bit of David Gray. Now, if anybody would like to join me for this one, you can. The song is called Babylon. It’s a personal favorite. I was playing a um gig last night. So, this is one of the songs that’s very much regularly on my set list for playing. It seems to go down really well with people. Um so, whereabout in the world are you? Well, I’m in the aisle of white is where I’m based, but I’m originally from Liverpool. Although, you’d never tell these days unless I start speaking like that again, you know, and I’ve kind of lost me accent a little bit. I sound all posh like I’ve been living down south way too long, you know? So, I need to I need to remember where I come from, you know? Which I sometimes do when I go home. Goes like this, guys. Friday night, I’m going nowhere. All the lights changing green, red. Turn it over. TV station, situations running through my head. Looking back through time, you know it’s clear. I’ve been blind. I’ve been fooled. [Music] Open up my heart to all that jealousy, that bitterness, that [Music] ridicule. Saturday, I’m running wild and all the lights changing red to green. Moving through the crowds and pushing chemicals rushing in my bloodream. only wish that you were here and not seeing it so clear I’ve been afraid show you how I really feel admit to some of those bad mistakes I made and if you want it come and get it crying out loud love that I was giving you was never end your heart the go your head I’m failing now the go your heart the go your head I’m failing now [Music] Babylon Babylon [Music] Babylon. Sunday all the lights in London shining. Sky is fading red to blue. Kicking through the autumn leaves and wondering what it is I might be going through. Turning back for home. You’re not feeling alone. I can’t [Music] believe. Climbing on the stair. I turn around. I see you smiling there in front of me. And if you want it, come and get it. Crying out loud. Love that I was given you was never end. Let go your heart. Let go of your head. I’m failing now. Let go your heart. Let go your head. I’m failing now. Let go your heart. Let go your head. I’m feeling now. Let go of your heart. Let go of your head. I’m failing now. [Music] Babylon. Babylon. [Music] Babylon. Why? Why? Why? [Music] Yeah, that was called Babylon and the artist was David Gray. And that song is now over 20 years old, which seems absolutely crazy. It just seems like it was only released, you know, few days back. I cannot believe how time is beating us tonight, guys. It just seems to really really be flying flying by so so quickly. Thanks, St. I’m glad that you enjoyed that and thank you notes from the path. What was your name as well? Thanks, Derma. Um, I have a little song which I’d like to play for the first time on the playalong. Now, we’ve covered some of the songs and I’d like to maybe finish the show for the last 15 minutes or so running through some of these playalongs because I know that some of you have taken the time to go to my Patreon page and learn these in preparation for tonight’s show. So, I really don’t want to skip them. I want to give you the opportunity to play some of these songs. Okay. So, we’ve looked at Blackbird, well done, and Sailor V and Sensitive Kind. We’re now going to take a look at a song by um Chris Stapleton. Uh yes. Okay. Now, Paul, you mention another one there, don’t you? which is the um which is the um the diamond ring which again is a great song. We’ll see if we’ve got time for that one. It’s definitely worth a look, isn’t it? For sure. Let me see if I can just uh yeah do something with that for you in a while. I hope you’re all doing well and enjoying the uh songs so far and the show and everything else. We seem to be racing through these songs. Okay. Now, like I say, yeah, I know that mom is a huge Chris Stapleton fan. I know that Julie likes this. I know that Amanda likes this. I know that this is a a favorite of many of you you folks, right? So, let’s It’s a good reason for us to do it. The Chris Stapleton song is more of you. Okay. So, I know this this always seems to go down well on the show, and it’s probably out of all the songs I’ve played over these last, you know, I don’t know, half a dozen shows, it’s one that we’ve pretty much played every time. Now, I know that there are some people out there who don’t or aren’t able to make comments, and I’d just like to say a big thank you to all of you as well for joining us because I know there are many of you out there. And, you know, I’m not entirely sure who you might be, whether we’ve got Mary and Steve with us tonight from down in Wayouth or Karen and Dean in Sidmouth. I don’t know, you know, but I know there are lots of people out there who do tune in and don’t have the ability to make comments. So, I just wanted to say uh you know, it’s great to have your company as well. So, Dwayne, hello there and great to have your company. Right, let’s see if we can do this Chris Stapleton one. It goes like [Music] this. Let’s Let’s start that again. Hey, give you all a chance to come in. One, two, three, 4. [Music] When I think of you and the first time we [Music] met and I heard the sound of your sweet, gentle voice, my heart took me over and gave no [Music] choice. Right. Then I knew it made me want more of you again and [Music] again. I fall more in love with you than I’ve ever [Music] been. From the moment you wake me up till you kiss me good tonight. Everything that you do, it makes me want more of [Music] you. When I look at you now, the years have gone by. [Music] I think of the memories the time can erase and all of the smiles that you brought to my face. Your love’s been so true. It makes me want more of you. again and again. I’ve fall more in love with you than I’ve ever been. From the moment you wake me up till you kiss me good night. Everything that you [Music] do, it makes me want more of [Music] you. When I leave this earth, you’ll be holding my hand. [Music] And it gives me comfort to know you’ll be there. And I’m thankful Lord for the love that we share. Your heaven to me. It makes me want more of you. again and [Music] again. I fall more in love with you than I’ve ever [Music] been. From the moment you wake me up till you kiss me good night. Everything that you do, it makes me want you. Everything that you [Music] do, it makes me want more of [Music] you. Thanks, guys. Okay. And hello to Mary and Steven as well. Great to have you on board, guys. I wasn’t sure if you’d be watching whether you’d get the chance, but it’s great to have your company anyway. Thanks for for joining us. So, that was a song by Chris Stapleton. And like I say, that one was called More of You. Seems to have gone down well. Uh I’ll show you. Uh I’m glad you enjoyed that one, Chris. I’d like to give a shout out to Al as well. I don’t know whether I’ll watches any of the broadcasts, but as you all know, my partner in crime, who I go and do some playing with and is pretty unwell at the moment, and I’d like all of us to maybe give Al an extra thought in our prayers and wish him all the best. So, yeah, that one was called More of You by Chris Stapleton. Now, time is coming to an end, guys, and it’s beating us as usual. But nevertheless, like I said, I want to go through a few more songs before I disappear and let you guys go. So, we’re going to do a song by the Eagles next, right? And it’s not the one you might be thinking of. [Music] [Applause] [Music] little bit of um the eagles for you there. And I’ve done a great lesson on that song, guys. It’s a it’s a lovely one to get down and try and learn. And I won’t go into the whole kind of story now, but I’ve broken all that down into multiple parts so you can sit down and learn it. And it’s a great little thing to play a little bit of kind of Spanish guitar as well if that’s something that interests you. Now then, I’m going to sing a song which was by uh David Gilmore and the song is called A Diamond Ring. I know that I haven’t really played any blues for you tonight, so it’s only right that I play you a little bit of blues because I think that that’s something that many people kind of enjoy. Uh, and this one’s called a diamond ring. Okay, it goes like this. My baby told me she wanted a diamond ring. My baby told me she wanted a diamond ring. I told my baby I buy almost [Music] anything. Bought myself a pistol. It was a [Music] 44. Bought myself a pistol. It was a [Music] 44. In order to buy that diamond ring, I had to rob a Jewish store. [Music] police. They caught me, guide me to the county [Music] jail. Police, they caught me, carry me to the county [Music] jail. I told my baby, please, please come and draw my bail. [Music] My baby came to see me. My face she could not [Music] see. My baby couldn’t see me. My face she could not see. [Music] She said, "Please, Mr. Jaylor, please, please give him this note from me." This is how it read. My darling, I can’t see. I could not see your [Music] face, my darling. I can’t see you. I could not see your face. Oh, though I love you, I cannot take your place. And that’s called Diamond Ring. And the original guy escapes my mind now, the guy who played it originally, but it’s kind of slipped my mind. but it’s over on the Patreon. It’s a recent lesson that I’ve done for anybody who’s looking to learn a little bit of blues. It’s a good one for you to have a go at. Uh certainly worth a go. And I have actually was saying to you about an eagle song, right? So maybe now we’re running over time, but uh you know, we can always do another one. Okay. Emeralds. Okay. I like it, Mom. That’s a good one. That’s a good one. Okay. So, look, what we’re going to do is we’re going to play another song now in the play along. It’s called Tequila Sunrise. It’s by the Eagles. It’s a really nice song, this one, guys. If you’re into a kind of ballady song, this is a quite a nice one to play. Yeah. So, maybe have a look at this. But I’m going to play you two more. I’m going to play you this one and then I’m going to finish with finish off with one more song. Okay? So, I’m afraid so. Yeah. All right. So, this one goes like this. Hope you’re joining me for this one, guys. It’s another tequila sunrise staring slowly across the sky. Say goodbye. He was just a hide hand working on the dreams he planned to try. Days go by every night when the sun goes down. Just another lonely boy in town. And she’s out running [Music] around. She wasn’t just another one. And I couldn’t keep from coming on. It’s been so long. Oh, and it’s a holo feeling when it comes down to dear and friends. Never end. Take another shot of courage. Wonder why the right words never come. You’re just [Music] getting to keep the sunrise. This old world still looks the same. Another [Music] frame. Nice little song that one. I’ve always had a little bit of a soft spot for the Eagles. I think they wrote some great great songs, many of which are worth taking a little bit of time to learn them. Hey, I’m glad Jean Jack, you’ve enjoyed some of the tunes we’ve played tonight. Always great to have a little bit bit of feedback from you. I’d like to also thank everybody for tuning into the show tonight. I’ve just got one more to do for you guys.
