🔥Pier Gonella performs Satch Boogie by Joe Satriani live at the Bologna Guitar Show 2025 and in a studio version.
Hi everyone! I’m Pier Gonella and in this video I’m playing one of my favorite guitar instrumentals ever: Satch Boogie by the great Joe Satriani.
The first part of the video was recorded live during my performance at the Bologna Guitar Show in May 2025, one of the biggest guitar events in Italy. On that occasion I was also demonstrating a very special instrument: the Tagima Stella H2, an exceptional hand-made guitar built in Brazil. Playing Satch Boogie live with that guitar in front of the Guitar Show audience was an amazing experience.
After the live performance, you’ll hear a **studio version** of the same track. In the studio I slightly slowed down the tempo of the song compared to the original version, in order to achieve a cleaner, more precise performance and explore the phrasing with a bit more control.
Joe Satriani has always been a huge inspiration for me as a guitarist, and Satch Boogie is definitely one of the most iconic instrumental rock pieces ever written.
