picking up the guitar and playing a riff that you like is a great way to just immediately feel like you’re accomplishing something Try to get a song going because it feels good Even if you can [Music] just I remember when I did that for the first time I was like I’m playing music Then you can take it to whatever extreme you want The amount of time that you put in is going to be directly reflected in your command of the instrument so to speak The last thing you want to do is feel like you have to put in time that you’re just you’re not comfortable doing because then you’re pushing yourself to achieve something that is uncomfortable because if you really want to be a sort of a virtuoso type player you’re not going to have to push yourself to practice It’ll just come naturally The most important thing that you need to focus on whenever you’re doing anything whether you’re practicing chords scales is listening You have to be able to listen to what you’re playing When you’re listening you’re connecting with the instrument
