[Music] [Applause] [Music] hey everyone welcome back to the channel today is a requested video from some dude in Texas that’s that’s actually his name i’m not just saying that he wanted to hear what it would sound like to use the Sonic Cake Pocket Master as a preamp uh specifically into the return of an amp powering a speaker cabinet we’ve been able to use NAM captures and when you’re recording direct when you use the NAM profiles it deactivates the cabinet slot so we’ve kind of wanted to use captures with cabinets built in but what I’m going to do is run the PocketM stereo into the line inputs of my Power Block these are not expensive cabinets that’s not an expensive head this isn’t the most expensive guitar that I have so I’m trying to show you what some budget gear would sound like and really I didn’t spend a lot of time tweaking the presets i grabbed a bunch of stuff off of that site that a lot of us Pocketmaster guys are using and the process is really simple you go over to the Sonic Cake Manager you select the import section in the clone manage and then you just grab the slot that you want to import it to and I grabbed um some Marshall i there I grabbed a couple of downloads that had a lot of captures and this one was based on gain so I grabbed like a halfway gained up Marshall a couple of other things and we’re going to run them into that crate that I pointed out to you [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] and Since it is a multi effect we can always use multiple effects by plugging into the return of your amplifier you’re bypassing your amplifier’s preamp and we’re just going into the power section so we’re just treating the rest of my chain before and after like a pedal board basically [Music] [Applause] heat heat [Music] heat heat [Music] [Applause] heat [Applause] up [Applause] here [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] heat heat [Music] [Applause] [Music] i do also think that as of that last update what they did to the noise reduction uh allows us to move it back to the front of the chain so that the guitar is triggering the reduction and they did a good job of fixing it [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] heat [Music] [Applause] [Music] heat [Music] heat [Music] heat [Music] [Applause] [Music] heat heat [Music] [Music] heat heat heat [Music] [Music] heat heat heat [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] and something to remember is that the volume of your amplifier will now be reliant upon the volume coming out of your Pocket Master so you’ll be able to use your preset volumes and the home screen volume to determine that [Music] [Music] [Applause] So my overall thoughts are this is a really good method to completely change the shape of your amp if you have uh an amp with return in it you know your Fender stuff you’re going to use the power amp input but most other amps that have a send and return block you’re just going to pop right into the return and since this one’s stereo I was able to go left and right into those returns hey you guys if you enjoyed this video really leave it a thumbs up leave me a comment let me know what you think and thank you to some dude in Texas for recommending that I try this [Music] [Applause] [Music] can I see [Music]
