it’s been more than 10 years since I listened this song for the first time. it had a huge impact on me. The mix between pads, ambience and heavy tones felt incredible, and the clean guitars would even made me wanna cry at times.. not because of the tone, but because of the beautiful composition itself.
back then, I used to hang out often with Jose, and we tried to learn more about music, composing and production. Jakub Zytecki definitely had a big influence on us, be it from his Demo songs like this one.. his works on Disperse, or later on his solo career.
Cosmic Mother was never officially released.. and considering its impact on me… I took it as a chance to bring it again and make others see how great was Jakub back then, and also as an invitation to check his recent works, since it’s by far one of the biggest influences I’ve had in music.
I hope you like it, and I hope it can also, at some point, reach Jakub’s ears, as a tribute for his music 💙
