TOTO – AFRICA, Their # 1 Hit Closes Terrific Concert With Sing-Along at Hard Rock in Orlando 3/1/26

Steve Lukather

Toto, with your humble videographer in the “Redwood” section of the audience, closed their well received concert performing their #1 hit Africa, featuring a sing-along led by lead singer Joseph Williams at the Hard Rock Live in Orlando, Florida on March 1, 2026. Africa was written by David Paich and Jeff Procaro and was the closing track and second single from Toto IV, Toto’s fourth studio album released in April 1982. Africa reached number 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 (the only Toto song to do so), number 3 on the UK Singles and number 1 on the Canada Top Singles charts (it was a top 20 hit all over the world). The original recording has been certified Diamond (by the 21st Century) and is one of the best selling songs of all time. Toto IV received six Grammy Awards including Album of the Year and Producer of the Year, and peaked at number 4 on the US Billboard 200 and UK Albums and topped the Australia and Canadian Albums charts.
